== Generation ==
Wool is an item-level-0 cloak in ordinary random generation, including the repeatable monster-possession pool. It can also appear in [[Draft:Knight's Pawn Shop|the pawn shop]] or through [[Draft:Scroll of acquirement|acquirement]]. New ordinary copies are +0, with the [[Draft:Cloak#Generation and identification|usual cloak blessing roll]]. == Description ==
Wearing it in the Cloak slot adds no Def or Arm and produces no magical benefit. Blessing does not create a power, and enchantment does not turn its pluses into armor absorption. Disintegration directed at the wearer destroys the cloak before considering body armor or the unprotected character. An acid cloud also damages a cloak before armor. == Strategy ==
A known noncursed wool cloak is inexpensive insurance for more valuable body armor in those specific encounters. It is not a substitute for acid immunity or a magical cloak's combat protection. With a better cloak available, weigh its useful power against the risk of losing it to an outer-layer hazard.

Spending scarce enchantment solely to improve wool does not increase ordinary armor protection. Its low base value also makes paid identification for resale unattractive unless the information has another use; identifying an unknown cloak can instead uncover a much more valuable type.
