Step onto a gate tile to leave. With movement confirmation enabled, you are asked before changing areas; declining keeps you in the city. There is no gate toll or opening-hour restriction. Traveling directly to the gates also triggers this exit interaction, so with confirmation disabled it can take you straight outside.

== Strategy ==
Finish recovery, obtain portable food and equip your intended weapon before leaving. A paid meal and a carried ration serve different purposes once outside. The [[Draft:Rampart Explorers' Club|Explorers' Club]] offers the Return spell, which can bring a traveler back to Rampart's countryside location; it does not deliver them directly to a healer or shop.
