Return saves repeated stair travel after a successful expedition. Start charging while you still have room to retreat and survive attacks. When returning to a dungeon, casting on floor 1 skips already-explored levels, but commits you to the deepest visited floor rather than letting you choose an intermediate destination.<br />

Check the direction before casting: from floor 1 it sends you deeper, and from below floor 1 it leaves you inside the dungeon. To go home across the countryside, cast near an exit and leave promptly.
