== Generation and identification ==
Stimtabs occur as item-level-3 random food, including possible [[Draft:Knight's Pawn Shop|pawn-shop stock]], and can be selected through blessed [[Draft:Scroll of acquirement|acquirement]]. Ordinary food generation produces an unblessed copy. Its appearance is shared with [[Draft:Powtab|powtab]], [[Draft:Nutritab|nutritab]] and [[Draft:Immunotab|immunotab]]. == Description ==
Every stimtab changes current Strength and Constitution, regardless of blessing. It does not raise their recorded maxima. Repeated tablets repeat those changes; the attribute changes are not automatically undone when haste ends.<ref>{{Source|itemf1.c|402|410}}; {{Source|aux2.c|190|199}}.</ref>

Haste normally reduces the action interval, while slowing increases it. The final interval also depends on agility, load, other effects and riding; a tablet does not guarantee that every action becomes twice as fast. Haste and slowing counts below 1000 decrease at minute-status updates, normally once a game minute on local maps with extra checks at ten-minute or hourly updates. The Strength gain affects carrying capacity and ordinary damage calculations. The Constitution loss is real even when the speed outcome is unhelpful. == Strategy ==
Use a known noncursed stimtab when both acceleration and extra Strength are useful, with a plan to repair Constitution. A [[Draft:Potion of speed|speed potion]] offers acceleration without the tablet's attribute tradeoff. An unblessed tablet can roll no new haste, and riding can override the resulting movement interval, so judge the result rather than assuming a fixed benefit.

Repeated use stacks the Constitution cost as well as the Strength gain. It is not a substitute for food or a permanent increase in maximum attributes. Identify gray tablets before using them as emergency nourishment.
