The Rampart Mithril Nugget Casino offers slots and roulette in Rampart. Its prizes can be large, but it actively forces losing results after favorable play. The casino's idea of being ahead is not always the same as the player's actual profit.[1]
| Location | City travel name | Availability |

City location
Rampart Mithril Nugget Casino has no fixed street address. The four city sectors below show all 64 shuffled building slots as x; only the actual assignment in your game identifies this business. Read its sign and use the article's travel and opening-hour details.
These are spoiler maps. Coordinates are (column, row), starting at zero. Letters and highlighted symbols are article keys for sites and initial placements, not a literal game screenshot or a promise that a creature remains there.

The x markers are candidates, not 64 copies of this shop. Two h sites are always ordinary houses and are not shop candidates. Maze layout 1 supplies context in the southwest; other layouts do not change the building slots. See the full city map for a continuous view.
Visiting
Discover the shop to add it to city travel. A closed visit reports a Grand Jury investigation. This is checked afresh on entry, not a lasting closure or a day/night schedule; returning can find the casino open again. Services are unavailable in Shadowform.
An open visit permits repeated bets until you press Escape. The stakes are fixed: 100 Au for slots or 1,000 Au for roulette. Insufficient funds are refused; neither game offers credit. The spinning animation is followed by a separate final result, so a promising combination glimpsed during the animation is not a prize.[3]
Slots
Choose a to pay 100 Au and spin three symbols. Any matching pair pays, wherever the pair appears; three identical symbols pay the jackpot for that symbol instead. All-different symbols pay nothing.
| Matching symbol | Pair payout | Triple payout |
|---|---|---|
| Slime Mold | 20 Au | 40 Au |
| Lemon | 45 Au | 135 Au |
| Copper | 80 Au | 320 Au |
| Nymph | 125 Au | 625 Au |
| Sword | 180 Au | 1,080 Au |
| Shield | 245 Au | 1,715 Au |
| Chest | 320 Au | 2,560 Au |
| Bar | 405 Au | 3,645 Au |
| Orb | 500 Au | 5,000 Au |
| Mithril Nugget | 605 Au | 6,655 Au |
These are total cash payouts, not profit on top of a returned stake. Subtract 100 Au to find the net result. A Slime Mold pair pays only 20 Au, leaving an 80 Au loss despite the Winner! announcement. A Slime Mold triple is likewise a net loss.
Before the casino's forced-loss rule applies, 280 of the 1,000 possible symbol triples pay something, including the ten all-identical triples. That is about a 28% payout chance and 1% jackpot chance with ordinary random draws. Those figures do not apply while results are being forced to lose.[3]
Roulette
Choose b, then r for Red or b for Black. The stake is deducted before the color choice, which requires one of those two answers; Escape does not cancel that committed bet. A win returns 2,000 Au in total, a net gain of 1,000. A loss returns nothing.
This wheel is unusual: its 37 possible results display 0, 00, and numbers 1-35. Zero and double zero lose for both colors. Among the remaining results, 18 win for Red and 17 for Black, so Red has the better unrigged chance, roughly 49% versus 46%. Neither color avoids the forced-loss rule.[3]
Forced losses
Both games share a running record of earlier results. Whenever it is positive, the next game is forced to lose: slots reject matching symbols, and roulette rejects the chosen color. Losing reduces that record by the stake, so repeated forced losses can eventually bring it back to zero or below.
Roulette records net wins and losses of 1,000 Au. Slots instead add the entire payout for a winning spin, without subtracting that spin's 100 Au stake from the record; a losing spin subtracts 100. Consequently, even a money-losing prize can trigger the restriction. Starting from a fresh record, the 20 Au Slime Mold pair leaves your actual cash down 80 Au but the casino's record up 20: your next bet is forced to lose.
Leaving, waiting for another day, switching games or saving and restoring does not clear the record. A winning streak cannot be resumed simply by stepping outside.[3][4]
Strategy
The casino is an unreliable way to finance an expedition. Preserve money for equipment, healing and guild fees before gambling. A large slot prize is a reason to collect your gains and leave; continuing immediately can mean paying through a long run of predetermined losses.
Red is the better roulette choice when a fair result is possible, but choosing it does not turn roulette into a reliable income source. Switching from a small forced slot loss to a 1,000 Au roulette bet can make the penalty much more expensive. The slots' low prizes and their unusual accounting also make the Winner! label a poor guide to when you are actually ahead.
Trivia
The tourist guide advertises gambling by day and night, while the actual shop occasionally blames a Grand Jury investigation for being closed. Its fantasy slot symbols culminate in the establishment's namesake Mithril Nugget, while the roulette display retains both house zeros despite offering only 35 ordinary numbers.[1]
