On each per-move status check while regenerating, the player gains 1 HP and loses 1 mana if below maximum HP and above zero mana. Duration still decreases when no conversion occurs. A deeper positive blessing scales duration by `(blessing + 1) * 50`; a deeper curse scales disruption by ten per curse magnitude. Disruption kills if HP falls below zero.
During each move of regeneration, the player gains 1 HP and spends 1 mana when below maximum HP and above zero mana. Time still runs out while at full HP or zero mana. Each extra blessing adds another 50 moves; stronger curses increase the maximum disruption damage. Disruption kills if HP falls below zero.

The potion of regeneration converts mana into gradual HP recovery for a limited duration. A cursed copy is a potion of great disruption and immediately removes a large random amount of HP.

Generation and appearance

It is a common level-4 random potion with a shuffled container appearance. Random copies begin uncursed with a generated nonnegative plus.

Data and mechanics

Each copy weighs 20, has fragility 5, a base value of 100 Au, and item level 4. Plus does not affect either outcome, and drinking it never identifies the potion.

Effects and interactions

BUC stateResult
BlessedGrants 100 moves of regeneration.
UncursedGrants 50 moves of regeneration.
CursedFor an ordinary curse of -1, subtracts 0 through 100 HP as magical disruption.

Strategy

Use it when both missing HP and spare mana justify the conversion, and avoid drinking immediately before a period where mana is more valuable. Blessing doubles standard duration. An unknown copy is unsafe even at high HP because an ordinary cursed copy can remove up to 100 HP and does not identify itself.

Trivial

Regeneration and great disruption form a direct beneficial/cursed pair; no more specific cultural reference is known.
