The Rampart Orphanage and Hospice for the Needy is a charitable establishment in Rampart. It accepts donations that can move the player toward Law. Despite its name, its service is accepting charity, not healing or feeding the player.[1]

Donations
The hospice is a fixed city site known to the travel menu from the start. Accept the donation prompt and enter an amount you can afford.
Small donations increase alignment by one only while it is below +10. A donation large enough to earn the more enthusiastic response increases alignment by five, including above +10. The large-donation threshold is 100 Au or 100 times your character level squared, whichever is greater. Giving more than that threshold in a single donation does not increase the five-point gain.

Strategy
A new neutral character can donate 1 Au to become slightly Lawful, enough to apply to the Order or become a devotee of Odin or Athena at the Pantheon. The hospice's unenthusiastic response to such a small donation does not mean the alignment change failed.
Repeated one-Au donations can bring a negative or neutral alignment up to +10, but cannot reach the Order's later promotion requirements. Large donations can cross that limit, at a cost that rises sharply with character level. Plan around the exact threshold rather than making one oversized donation or repeatedly paying for small donations that no longer help.
