A potion of neutralize poison removes all current poisoning. It is a focused antidote, distinct from general healing and from the limited poison reduction of a potion of curing.[1]

Generation

This is an item-level-2 ordinary potion, with random loot, the pawn shop, and acquirement as sources. A newly generated copy is uncursed; its randomized enchantment does not change its antidote strength.[2][3][4][5]

Description

An uncursed or blessed potion sets current poisoning to zero and identifies the potion type. It does not restore HP already lost to poison, remove disease, or confer future poison immunity. Drinking it while unpoisoned still consumes it.

A cursed potion instead adds 5–24 poison units unless poison immunity prevents the addition. Poison normally loses one unit at a minute-status update while dealing 3 poison damage; the update also occurs at additional time boundaries, so units are not an exact count of clock minutes. Greater curse strength and enchantment do not increase the initial 5–24 roll. The cursed effect does not automatically record type knowledge.[6][7][8]

Strategy

Use a known safe antidote promptly when serious poison is draining HP. Compared with curing, this potion clears even a large remaining poison counter in one use. A curing potion is broader when blindness or disease also needs treatment, but an uncursed one removes only five poison units.

Carry healing as a separate answer to damage already suffered. Poison resistance is a preventive alternative when you can maintain it; it is not a reason to describe this single-use antidote as lasting protection. Throwing a cursed poison potion does not apply its drinking effect to a target in Omega, so its harmful name does not create the poison-weapon role found in some other games.
