Draft:Star Peak
Star Peak is the glowing mountain at (61, 3) in northeastern LOCUS. It houses the LawBringer and is the countryside destination reached by using the Star Gem, linking the Astral journey with the Order of Paladins.[1]

The map shows the populated scene before its completion flag changes later visits; see the article for return and re-entry behavior. The apparent A in the data file is not handled as an altar and remains initialized wall; it is shown as # here.
Reaching the peak
The mountain initially conceals the destination. Search nearby, then enter the discovered peak; Star View is the village to its southwest. Star Gem travel reveals the peak and deposits you on its world-map cell, outside the local scene. Enter it to meet the LawBringer.[3]
The local map is 64 by 16, with arrival at (2, 9) and countryside exits around its boundary. Rubble can injure or immobilize an unprepared character.[4]

The supplied map has no secret-passage or portcullis-release placements, despite the loader supporting those features. Do not plan a route around an assumed hidden release.[5]
Alignment and the LawBringer
Positive alignment makes all newly generated occupants nonhostile. Nonpositive alignment does not receive that blanket protection, but it does not by itself make the LawBringer hostile: his own starting template is peaceful.[6]
Give the Star Gem to the LawBringer to complete the delivery. It is consumed, adds 200 alignment and 2,000 experience, and sets both current and maximum Power to twice the old current Power. Expelled paladins regain basic membership. The Order then checks this recorded delivery during its own final promotion; the gift is not itself the rank ceremony.[7]
The alternative Crown quest requires the LawBringer's death and delivery of his remains to the Circle. It conflicts with keeping him available to receive the Gem. His carried Defender is separate from that crown.[8]
Returning and revisiting
Leave through the local boundary to return to the countryside. While the LawBringer remains alive, outdoor re-entry rebuilds the peak's inhabitants and treasure. After his death, later loads omit them and open the initially closed portcullis, though the terrain is not otherwise flattened.[9]
Strategy
Decide whether you need the Gem recipient or the Crown before fighting. Physical immunity makes the LawBringer resistant to ordinary weapons, while a peaceful gift can be made without a duel. Bringing lawful alignment also reduces the danger from the random inhabitants, but does not remove rubble and portcullis hazards.
