The potion of regeneration converts mana into gradual HP recovery for a limited duration. A cursed copy is a potion of great disruption and immediately removes a large random amount of HP.

Generation and appearance

It is a common level-4 random potion with a shuffled container appearance. Random copies begin uncursed with a generated nonnegative plus.

Data and mechanics

It is object ID 75 and potion ID 9, with weight 20, fragility 5, base value 100 Au, and item level 4. Plus does not affect either branch, and this wrapper never identifies the potion.

Effects and interactions

BUC stateResult
BlessedAdds 100 regeneration units.
UncursedAdds 50 regeneration units.
CursedFor an ordinary curse of -1, subtracts 0 through 100 HP as magical disruption.

On each per-move status check while regenerating, the player gains 1 HP and loses 1 mana if below maximum HP and above zero mana. Duration still decreases when no conversion occurs. A deeper positive blessing scales duration by `(blessing + 1) * 50`; a deeper curse scales disruption by ten per curse magnitude. Disruption kills if HP falls below zero.

Strategy

Use it when both missing HP and spare mana justify the conversion, and avoid drinking immediately before a period where mana is more valuable. Blessing doubles standard duration. An unknown copy is unsafe even at high HP because the ordinary cursed branch can remove up to 100 HP and does not identify itself.

Trivial

No reliable creator statement tying this generic potion name to a particular cultural source was found.
