The estoc is the hardest-hitting ordinary thrusting weapon in Omega 0.90.4. It remains one-handed and accurate, with base damage 11 and +12 hit.[1]
Generation and appearance
It is a common level-5 random weapon. Outer circle demons carry estocs, offering a fixed monster source. Its unidentified, identified, and cursed names are all estoc.[2][3][4][5]
Data and mechanics
An estoc weighs 25, has base damage 11, grants +12 hit, and has a base value of 500 Au. It has fragility 15 and leaves the ready hand free. Its plus improves both hit and damage.[1][3][6]
Effects and interactions
The estoc's thrust gains Dexterity-based accuracy and permits riposte, and it can also lunge. It doubles base damage for tunneling progress but faces the thrusting-weapon damage attempt on a mishap. It may be thrown like the other ordinary weapons.[7][8][9]
Strategy
The estoc is the best raw-damage choice among the four thrusting weapons in this batch while retaining a high hit score. A rapier is lighter and appears earlier, but an equally enchanted estoc adds 3 damage for only 1 less hit. Outer circle demons can supply one before a level-5 random drop does, provided the fight is manageable.[10][7][8][9]
