A household robot is a normally peaceful mechanical creature. It has only 5 HP, but its center attack can deal substantially more damage than that small health total suggests.[2]

Generation

Household robots belong to ordinary random-monster pools and have no fixed or additional random starting possessions. They are not specifically favored by a countryside terrain table.[3]

Behavior

If made hostile, the robot makes one center attack with raw physical damage of 0–14 and has one center defensive action. Its ordinary action interval is 12 ticks. It is immune to electricity, poison, fear and sleep, but not ordinary physical damage.[4]

Talking produces one of four mechanical or threatening remarks. This routine does not change its attitude, provide a service or trigger an attack. It is not hungry and cannot be pacified through the ordinary food response.[5]

Battery

Half of normal deaths leave a household robot battery. Despite its name, this object has the ordinary corpse use path: attempting to eat it reports that it is inedible. It has no alchemical transformation or implemented charging effect.[6]

Strategy

Leaving the robot peaceful avoids unnecessary risk. If it attacks, physical damage is a practical answer to its low HP; electricity, poison, fear and sleep are ineffective against its innate immunities. Do not budget the battery as either food or a replacement for a scroll of charging.
