An invisible slayer is a very tough, invisible flying physical attacker. It is distinct from the shadow slayer: it has no poison, spellcasting or blackout power, and ordinary weapons can damage it.[2]
Generation
Invisible slayers belong to ordinary random-monster pools. They are initially hostile and carry no ordinary possessions.[3]
Combat
The slayer makes three physical attacks, each with a raw 0–39 damage roll, and has no defensive action, ranged attack or special power. Its 1,000 HP makes it considerably more durable than many creatures with more complicated attacks.[4]
It is immune only to electricity. It flies over water but is not intangible, so walls still block it. Initial invisibility does not grant a separate surprise action. It has no food or valuable-gift pacification response.[5]
Remains
Normal death has a 50% chance to leave a dead slayer. Eating it adds six food units and, if your invisibility counter is below 1,000, replaces that counter with 666. If the existing counter is at least 1,000 it is preserved. Ordinary temporary invisibility loses one count at each ten-minute game-time status check, so this is a long temporary effect rather than permanent equipment immunity.[6]
Ambrosias instead buys the corpse for 66 Au or charges 400 Au to turn the selected stack into one blessed +9 cloak of invisibility. Its high enchantment does not make the worn invisibility stronger.[7]
Strategy
True sight helps track the attacker; physical protection addresses its actual damage. Avoid electricity, but physical, fire and cold attacks are not blocked by innate immunity, and sleep remains applicable. Its large HP pool favors reliable protection over assuming it will die before several melee sequences.
Choose between long temporary invisibility with food and a worn cloak when using the corpse. Eating can shorten an existing temporary counter between 667 and 999, so it is not an unconditional extension of every invisibility effect.
