Omega 0.90.4

Spells are learned magical abilities used for combat, protection, exploration and travel. Omega 0.90.4 has 41 player spells. Spellcasting explains learning, research, targeting, mana and the moon; the list below gives each spell's initial cost and connects completed independent drafts.[1]

Spell list

Spells are ordered by initial mana cost, then alphabetically. Research can lower the cost recorded for your character, and lunar influence changes the actual amount paid. The short descriptions are a purpose index, not a list of guaranteed outcomes: targets, immunity and other limits belong to the individual effects. Entries marked Article pending are listed here until their independent drafts are ready.[2]

Choosing a spell

For reconnaissance, monster detection and object detection give brief symbol displays; clairvoyance instead adds terrain to map memory. Alertness assists actual searching and certain surprise encounters. These abilities answer different questions and do not replace one another.

Identification appraises an item, while self knowledge reports on your character. Apportation moves ground loot to you; Return moves you only after a delay and according to your location when it finishes. The independent pages cover their learning routes and limits.

The remaining spells include direct attacks, healing, temporary protections and changes to items or terrain. A similarly named scroll, potion or wand can use different parameters or targets. Base mana alone does not establish which effect is stronger or more appropriate.
